Dr. Anil Shah prefers to operate in his own facility located in his offices of 200 W. Superior Street, Suite 200, and does so for several reasons:
Staffing
He prefers the same personnel for each case. His main assistant has been with Dr. Shah for over 14 years and his nurses and anesthesia providers all have to be on the same page on protocols. Using the same staff allows our team to work better together and hopefully lead to better outcomes for our patients.
Facility
Camera on our OR light and monitor allows us to record any portion of the cases. Dr. Shah operates on a specialized OR table to minimize strain on him so he can operate for many hours in the day and minimize fatigue. Natural light floods our operating room which is helpful for seeing the nose in its best contour. Even where Dr. Shah stands is cushioned to limit wear and tear on his lower extremities. In between cases, Dr. Shah tries to meditate and stretch to help recuperate for his next patient.
Technology
Dr. Shah operates with a 50 inch monitor in front of your nasal morph so he can literally look at your photos WHILE he operates. Dr. Anil Shah also has 4 micromotor rasps and Piezo Ultrasonic Instrumentation which provides precision rhinoplasty results.

Equipment
Most of Dr. Shah’s equipment has been specifically selected over many years. He uses titanium instruments (read why we use titanium instruments over here) as well as one-off instruments designed to create the best outcomes for his patients.
Anesthesia
Dr. Shah and his select anesthesia providers follow safety protocols and try to eliminate or minimize the use of narcotic pain medication. They use a combination of medications to help control pain.
