Rhinoplasty Gallery Patient 318565
Patient who had previous rhinoplasty performed which resulted in severe nasal obstruction and collapse. Notice on the preoperative photographs how the patient’s mouth is open in some of the views and the asymmetries seen along the nose. The patient had had a resective rhinoplasty where the middle portion of the nose had created a small saddle deformation. In cases where support is not placed adequately, reconstruction of the nose to recreate support can help improve function and form of the nose.
Her case required costal cartilage or rib cartilage. Postoperatively, her nose exhibits a stronger, more natural profile. Her nose appears narrower on front view since more support has been placed. Overall, improving the airway as well as adding structure has helped improved both the airway as well as the form of the nose.
