Crooked Noses
This is a young patient with a history of a deviated nose. She had difficulty breathing through both sides of her nose due to her septal deviation. A standard septoplasty approach would not correct such a severe deviation.
Dr. Shah utilized an external approach and replaced her entire septum with a newly constructed septum. In addition, this patient received alar batten grafts for breathing support. This patient described wanting a "natural nose", and her nasal tip was constructed to reflect those changes with a combination of nasal tip graft and crushed cartilage.
Her nose is straighter on the postoperative view and the patient's breathing has been restored. Her wide nasal tip was contoured to a narrower, yet still natural looking tip.
More patient photographs can be seen in Dr. Shah's office.
