The patient desired changes to her nasal "bump" and was a good candidate for finesse rhinoplasty. Her nasal shape was achieved by utilizing closed rhinoplasty technique. Of particular note is that this patient has a subtle deviation along the bridge of her nose (nasal bone to middle vault junction). Although this deviation is subtle, it is important to recognize this as it can have a significant role in the overall result if not corrected. This deviation was noted internally as well, making her airway an important factor in her overall result.
The patient also has a subtle supratip break which can make the nose have a feminine touch, but in a natural method. Since her nose was deviated, her nose took a special type of hump removal and reconstruction to create a straighter bridge without creating bulk to the overall nose. Overall the patient’s breathing was improved as well.
