Facelift Maintenance
A maintenance facelift is when a facelift is performed just prior to the face developing significant facial descent. Often times the patient will use facial fillers and fat as a means to stave off a facelift for as long as possible. In this case, the patient has laxity along her jawline which represents signs of early facial aging. She had a previous facelift which was not able to correct her jawline issues. Dr. Shah used his technique of suspending platysma to improve jowls along jawline and create a natural improvement in contour to face. She also had fat transfer to specific areas to help add volume.
Fat transfer alone would not have addressed her jawline adequately. The combination of facelift with fat transfer will help her age process appear natural and graceful.
