So you want to improve your jawline and you’re not sure what to do? You work out but despite that you do not have contour along your neck like you want. It makes sense that removal of fat along your neck with a liposuction cannula would work but is it going to give you the result you want?
Most likely it will not. There is an anatomic reason for this. Neck fat that can be removed with neck liposuction is superficial and is just below the surface of the skin. By removing this layer of fat, you have not removed the deeper layers of fat and have not reshaped the neck anatomy. In doing so, the neck will likely look slightly better but not that different.
Deep neck contouring addresses the deep layers of the neck including the neck fat.
WHAT IS DEEP NECK CONTOURING?
Deep neck contouring addresses the deep layers of the neck including the neck fat. This fat CAN NOT be removed with liposuction. It must be directly removed or it will persist. The exact amount of fat must be sculpted to match your existing anatomy or the patient’s central neck will be over-resected with this technique. This technique is highly technical and requires removal of ALL of the deep fat in one continuous layer to help create an anatomically smoother platform.
BEFORE AND AFTER: DEEP NECK CONTOURING
Removal of fat is only one key component as the neck muscles must be reshaped as well to allow for a more favorable neck line. Once the fat and muscles are reshaped patient’s can enjoy improved neck contours which are fundamentally different but still natural!!!
