Composite Graft
A composite graft is a combination of two materials, typically skin and cartilage. This graft is used in patients with alar retraction, where the nostril retracts. In some of these cases, the result of this is due to loss of tissue and cartilage, creating space for the nostril to retract. This graft is most typically taken from the ear and will result in an anterior scar or scar in front of the ear.
